Psychotherapy
Anxiety and Depression
Emerging Adulthood and Quarter Life Crisis
My clients begin feeling empowered and accepting of themselves, as they learn skills to address stress/anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I use a combination of acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and relational approaches to support clients in their journey towards a more fulfilling and balanced life. Therapy includes developing self-compassion, meaningful action, and mindful awareness. I also integrate somatic/physical practices to regulate emotions and increase awareness of what you need in the moment.
You’re technically an “adult” but you really don’t know what you are doing. Things are confusing, and there’s no roadmap for where to go next or what to do. It can be overwhelming and lonely, at times. I love working with young adults to discover themselves and what is important to them. It’s an exciting time to define for yourself what you want your life to look like, what relationships you want to build, and what you want to leave behind.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Adult ADHD
I also provide cognitive behavioral therapy for adult ADHD. I teach a program that helps adults learn simple and practical skills to become more organized, focused, and confident. I help address concerns like procrastination, overwhelm, and low self-esteem related to ADHD. The research-based program I use was developed at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Parenting
Transition to Parenthood
Parenting Support
I enjoy working with new parents and have a specialty in postpartum anxiety. For many, the transition to parenthood can be exhausting, wonderful, and overwhelming, all at once. As you provide care for your little one(s), you deserve and need a space for yourself to rest and reflect on this new chapter in your life. Pregnancy-related and postpartum anxiety is a common concern that deserves treatment and support. Unfortunately, perinatal anxiety often goes untreated, and new parents suffer unnecessarily, feeling constantly worried or stressed. For other parents, things just feel out of balance, tiring, and chaotic. You are not alone, and I would be honored to be part of your village.
Parenting doesn’t come with a handbook! Or I guess it does, in the form of endless information in numerous books, blogs, websites, and unsolicited advice. This leaves parents feeling confused, conflicted, and overwhelmed. What is the right thing to do? You take your job as a parent seriously, and you want to do right by your child.
I know. It’s tough. We love our kids so much. And it’s hard and confusing at times. The truth is, each child is so different, each parent is so different, and each parent-child relationship is so different. This means that there is not one parenting answer that will work for everyone, and there’s not one right way to parent. The good news is that there are many ways for you to connect with your child, become the type of parent you aspire to be, and instill important values like compassion and perseverance.
I have extensive training and specialized knowledge in various parenting approaches for numerous concerns, which makes me uniquely suited to support you in figuring out what works best for you and your family. I’m also a mom myself, and I will not judge you. None of us are perfect, and we are all doing our best!
I particularly enjoy providing guidance for parents of toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children. My parenting philosophy is less focused on short-term behavioral compliance and more focused on emotional awareness, connection, and developmental needs of the child. I also ask parents to examine their own emotions and behaviors and how they can better regulate themselves in order to support their child. The approaches I use gently guide children to become more cooperative and respectful within the context of being allowed to express their feelings in a safe way. Children also learn to tune into their own emotions, behaviors, and needs, while learning to care about others as well. If it is appropriate for your family, I can also provide parent-child therapeutic support to learn skills live in session (via telehealth). I have training in the Nurtured Heart Approach, developmentally appropriate practices/positive guidance, and specialized programs for children with different abilities. My experiences include extensive experience providing child/family therapy and parenting consultation in child guidance and school settings, assessment and therapy for children as young as 2.5 years old with developmental and emotional differences, and classroom training in Positive Guidance with typically developing children at The University of Texas Child and Family Lab School.
